Robert Alford signed by Cardinals; Raiders still have handful of attractive CB options in free agency

Veteran cornerback Robert Alford’s unemployment lasted about 48 hours before the Arizona Cardinals swooped in Thursday and handed him a three-year contract that guarantees him $13.5 million and the chance to net as much as $24 million. He could have helped the Raiders, but now that he’s gone coach Jon Gruden can shift his focus

    This was a good idea. Cards sign him for a relatively inexpensive contract for a good corner. Wish the Raiders would have tried to do that

      I have heard that a Raiders-themed HOF is going to be part of the stadium project, or done in conjunction with the stadium project. Thanks for reminding me.

    It would be nice to find and sign a true starting CB on the FA market and supplement with at least one more in the draft.

    It is nice to find gems in the UDFA pool and PS players too. But making a habit of this can be very risky.
